"I want to thank you, Ira Wren, and the crew, Chris Burroughs, Eduardo Rangel, Darrin Gates, and Robert Beard, for the excellent service received during the preparation and throughout the completion of our move on Friday, 26 March 2004. This move had been scheduled for 3 weeks when I received notice that morning the current contractor for moving services defaulted on the contract and were not going to show. Anvil drops... What to do now? I felt I couldn't let the staff required to move wait any longer since they had altered their schedules and packed their belongings. Many phone calls later led me back to Ignacio (Nacho) Brambila, our moving services coordinator. He provided me with a list of companies that had, at one point or another, made a bid for the moving services contract with our command. My first action was to check with the Better Business Bureau and verify any action that may have been taken against the companies. Some of the companies were not registered with BBB and hence I didn't even consider. Another company had 4 complaints within a 12 month period and refused to negotiate settlement. Priority Moving was number 3 on my list, only because the 2 other companies were members of the BBB longer. I began my calls… Not available until the following week. Anvil slips… Not available until the following week. Anvil slips lower… This was beginning to look dim. My call to Priority Moving gave me great hope. Ira and I phoned back and forth for over an hour; you check with the crew, I'll check with finance about payment; you get the information needed to enter the facility and I'll get the gate passes; I'll have the crew call from the gate and you wait at the phone. You get the drift; phone tag, but it was wonderful! Every call brightened the day! The crew finally arrives… Ask about the security stanchions and the safety cone. A brief get-together, how-do-you-do, and off to work. Chris took the furniture rebuilding (poor knuckles!) and the rest of us rearranged furniture and boxes. I had the furniture location down to the 1 and 1/2 inch! Your team worked excellent together! Each one of them knew how to handle their part of the job. Not a one of them stood around waiting for the other or needed to be told back to work. They were almost TOO gentle to be movers! A rest, a beverage, and back to work. A quick clean up, gather the tools, gather the equipment, close all the windows, turn off the lights, and, DONE! After the crew packed the truck, I signed the paperwork, and, we were off and running for the gate! The best part, the box of chocolate truffles! What a great way to end a days work! Guys, I'm sorry the gate guard didn't search you. I know it was disappointing; maybe the next time!? I strongly recommend Priority Moving for our moving contractor. With great pleasure."
