If you’re coming with children, you’ll be very happy with the high quality of the Ramona Unified School District who “will ensure a high level of learning for all students through a culture of collaboration with families and the community in the pursuit of excellence.” There are ten schools in this district and all are highly rated.

The Ramona Chamber of Commerce provides a great reason why this hillside town has, and continues to be, so popular: “With a population of approximately 43,000 plus, Ramona is the fastest growing unincorporated town in San Diego County. While keeping up with the changing times and experiencing a growth rate of over 40 percent during the past few years, Ramona has succeeded in retaining its original rustic charm.”

Looking for local news and upcoming events? Look no further than the Ramona Sentinel and the Ramona Journal. Each newspaper has been in the community for many years and can help you get a better feel for the area before you actually move.

For those moving to Lemon Grove that have children, “there are 10 K-12 schools in Lemon Grove, CA, including 7 public schools and 3 private schools. Lemon Grove public schools belong to one districts, Lemon Grove Elementary School District. There are 6 Lemon Grove preschools and day care centers, 8 Lemon Grove elementary schools, 4 Lemon Grove middle schools and 1 Lemon Grove high school.”

And just for fun, if you haven’t seen the World’s Largest Lemon, make sure you do. It’s located in the center of town next to the Orange Line Trolley. More specifically, it’s at the corner of Broadway and Main St. next to the trolley tracks.
